Casco Bay Fuel and Injection

Casco Bay Diesel needed a website redesign as their old one was outdated and not user-friendly. It did not clarify exactly what it was that they did, and navigating was complicated.

The was a lot of text to read through. In this day and age, users generally skip through wordy paragraphs, often missing critical information.

RESULTS

Currently monitoring.

Before Design

As you can see from the images of the old website, we first wanted to establish what it was that Casco Bay did, and who they wanted to target. This was done through interviews with the owner and the employees.

We needed to establish what questions were regularly asked by the website users. This would help in curating informative content that answered their questions upfront, allowing the user to be thoroughly clued up and ready to take the next step – requesting a service.

After design

The Casco Bay team felt really “rock ‘n roll” when interacting with them. We wanted to bring this across in their branding on their website. Their Instagram had the same vibe, with hard rock being the go-to choice for background music along with their content.

We opted for a dark feel, bringing forward that rock feel.  The content was broken down into easy-to-consume pieces of information.

Getting to the bottom of the issue of “Who do we serve?” we were able to create services and pages that catered to both the average yacht owner, to the technicians requiring more technical jargon.

And of course it's mobile-friendly

Google Analytics was only setup beginning og January 2025 as the client did not have this feature previously. The first thing we did was connect the Casco Bay website to analytics. This would allow us to gage what was happening on the website while we worked on the new design and features.

We discovered that in the 90 days of following the stats, over 60% of the users were looking at the website from a desktop or laptop. However, making the website mobile-friendly is a no-brainer for The Bloc Studio.

Connecting the website to Google Search Console from day one also provided us with some idea of what these potential clients were searching for, aiding us in adjusting the content to accommodate those search terms.

Let's get going with your very own project!
