These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website located at www.thebloc.studio and its associated subdomains (collectively, the “Website”), operated by The Bloc Studio (Pty) Ltd (“TBS”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By accessing or using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not continue to use the Website.
“Client”, “you”, and “your” refer to the person accessing the Website. “Party” or “Parties” refers to both you and TBS collectively.
2. Scope of These Terms
These Terms govern your use of the Website only. They do not constitute, and should not be relied upon as, the agreement governing any web design, development, or digital agency services provided by TBS to a client.
Where TBS provides paid services to a client, those services are governed by a separate signed service agreement entered into directly between TBS and the client, which sets out the applicable scope of work, fees, payment terms, deliverables, timelines, and cancellation terms specific to that engagement. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and a signed service agreement, the signed service agreement takes precedence in respect of the services it covers.
3. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, TBS and/or its licensors own the intellectual property rights in all material published on the Website. All such rights are reserved.
You may view and access content on the Website for your own personal or business evaluation purposes only. You must not:
- Republish material from the Website
- Sell, rent, or sub-license material from the Website
- Reproduce, duplicate, or copy material from the Website
- Redistribute content from the Website
Ownership of intellectual property created for a client as part of a paid service engagement is governed by the relevant signed service agreement, not by these Terms.

Our use of cookies is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Website, you consent to our use of cookies in accordance with that Policy, including through the cookie consent banner presented on your first visit, where applicable.
5. Hyperlinking to Our Website
The following organisations may link to our Website without prior written approval, provided the link is not deceptive, does not falsely imply endorsement, and fits within the context of the linking party’s site: government agencies, search engines, news organisations, and recognised online directory distributors.
Other organisations wishing to link to the Website, including business information sources, industry associations, and professional firms, may request approval by emailing hey@thebloc.studio with details of the requesting organisation and the proposed link.
No use of the TBS logo or other branded artwork is permitted for linking purposes without a separate trademark licence agreement.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Website shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa. This does not affect any statutory consumer protection rights you may have as a mandatory matter of law in your own country of residence, including the United Kingdom, the European Union, or the United States, which remain unaffected by this clause to the extent such rights cannot lawfully be waived.
